Today we designed a helipad to land a drone on and we created a solid model by following the blueprint / engineer drawing. After spending a few days using the SolidWorks software, please explain any struggles that you have come across and how you were able to overcome these struggles. So today I was given directions on how to create a name plate project. First I had to create a rectangle and the dimensions where 5in and 1in. Next I extruded the rectangle to 0.2in, after that I created a 2 circle which was 0.25in away from the sides as shown below. Then I clicked a big A icon so I can edit my name on the name plate, as shown below. Last but not least I fillet the edges to a radius of 0.25in and then I fillet the line around the top face of the nameplate.

I had to create the lading pad for my drone. First I created a square and all the sides where 4in. Than I extruded it to 1in, after I extruded it I created another square on the front of the big extruded box. The second square was smaller, after I created it I extrude cut the about 0.2in down. Next I put a circle in the center of the extruded cut part and that was it for today, I didn’t have enough time to finish the landing pad.
